Jewish Baltimore

Welcome to Baltimore (often pronounced Bawlmer by the locals)! It’s a fantastic place to be Jewish! Baltimore has a Jewish population of over 95,000, and boasts a wide range of Jewish community resources. Our Jewish Federation, known as the Associated, coordinates a network of 23 agencies and programs, including Goucher Hillel and Hillels at Johns Hopkins, Towson, UMBC and Maryland. Other agencies, including the JCC, Pearlstone, Jewish Volunteer Connection, and CHANA, regularly partner with us on programming.

Here at Goucher Hillel we are honored to share a campus and occasional programming with Chabad of Towson and Goucher. We are privileged to work with Rabbi Mendy and Rebbetzin Sheiny Rivkin, who hold programming on campus weekly, as well as opening the Chabad House to students to attend programs.

Chabad is located at 14 Aigburth Rd, Towson, MD 21286 – only a moderate walk from campus, and on the web at jewishtowson.com. Chabad also hosts programs at a home close to Goucher through Young Jewish Professionals of Towson, which may be found on the web at yjptowson.org
